Kathleen Marinaccio Bill's daughter Brainfish@aol.com >I am looking for anyone who might of known my nephew. His name was CPL Robert Wayne Fordahl from, Tieton, Washington, near Yakima, WA. Bobby's nickname was "TREE", or "Treefrog" a small wirey kid, dark hair and eyes. When he was at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, he used to come to our house (my husband in Navy for 22 yrs) every weekend he could, and would bring anywhere from 3 to 6 of his buddies with him, we loved having them around, but I can't remember all of their names, some from Texas, Bay City I think, but it was so long ago. We had an 8 month old daughter, red hair, named Tracy, and they spoiled her rotten. We lived in National City, on 16th Ave and would often take them back to 88base. Bobby came home, married his childhood sweetheart, started college, and was killed in a motorcycle accident with his best friend, in Oct. 1972, he was 24. We miss him to this day. Someone called his mom a few years ago and asked for him, and she was so startled, she told them he had died, but failed to get the persons name. The reunion at that time was to be held in Wisconson I think. I'd appreciate any info, from anyone who might of known him. Thank you so much. My nephew served in Nam from 12/68 to 12/69.
